Advanced Placement Studio Art

Wiktoria Piktel and the Bear Gallery proudly present the summer work of students from the Advanced Placement Studio Art class.


The Bear Gallery is a student-run gallery that displays the art of students and staff of Norwalk High School. In this show, the artwork varies in size, mediums, and themes. Tonight the gallery is presenting 14 pieces made by talented and unique juniors and seniors.​​​

Wiktoria Piktel and the Bear Gallery proudly present the summer work of students from the Advanced Placement Studio Art class.


The Bear Gallery is a student run gallery that displays the art of students and staff of Norwalk High School. In this show the art work varies in size, mediums and themes. Tonight the gallery is presenting 14 pieces made by talented and unique juniors and seniors.


Going from the window on the far left towards the right, the first piece is a mixed media piece made by CIndy Makaba ‘18. The next two pieces are created by Sasha “Kane” Meinck ‘19, a colored pencil of a fruit bowl on toned paper and a linocut respectively. Moving forward the gallery presents a pencil diptic created by Madison French ‘19. Next there is a colored pencil portrait created by Alexis Morelli ‘18 and another portrait made by Maya Goosmann ‘19 with the use of acrylic paint.


Starting with the other side of the wall the gallery presents Tiara Trent ‘19 and her  portrait created by using copic markers. To the right we have another portrait made by Abby Lewis ,18, created using charcoal. Moving forward we have Natalie Kurek ‘19 and her two pieces, first is a charcoal of a dog and the next a colored pencil of a leaf. To the right there is a still life using pencil and pen created by Eva Dupervil ‘18. We end the show with two pieces created by Isabella Ranci-Ortigosa ‘18, the first is a colored pencil still life on toned paper and the next a charcoal still life.


This Bear Gallery is run by Wiktoria Piktel. This show was put together with the help of Natalie Kurek and Melissa Hawkes. Both seniors are in charge of the Little Bear Cafe as a part of their project explore. This event is the first show of many to come.
