MEET WIKTORIA PIKTEL

Class of 2018

Wiktoria Piktel. A senior at Norwalk High School. There is more to her talkative and outgoing personality than meets the eye. She is determined and hardworking. Growing up she lived in Poland and moved around from city to city, country to country, and eventually ended up in NHS. This cheerful senior enjoys making art, some of her favorite mediums include colored pencils, charcoal and photography. She takes photos for the school newspaper, student government and her project explore. During her senior year she is curating “The Bear Gallery”, organizing the whole event, featuring the students and teachers of NHS and putting in her time to prepare her for her future dream job; teaching art.
Another hobby of Wiktoria’s is hiking. She often visits trails that take anywhere from two to ten hours to achieve her goal. Some of her favorite trails include Breakneck Ridge which is an advanced rock climbing trail with 5 peaks to reach. Mt. Wittenberg is another trail she loves, it takes about 4 hours to reach the top and 3 to walk back down. From the starting point the peak is 5000 miles above and included countless of miles of walking.
Wiktoria works hard no matter what class she is in. During her high school career she took Advanced Placement Studio Art (twice), Language and Composition, Environmental Science, Literature and Composition and Psychology. She loves learning new things and constantly keeps herself busy with a new class, club, sport, job or internship. According to Wiktoria the most important thing in life is the relationships you build with you family and friends and can't wait for what life throws toward her and the people around her. She knows that together they can overcome everything.
